@zelahglasson: 👇🏽What I’ve learned from training as a trans person🏳️⚧️: 🥩 Don’t prioritise getting leaner over fuelling your body and building muscle. You need to eat enough. Especially when starting hormones. 💪🏽 Progressive overload is the goal. Not another bicep vein or visible abs. More weight, more reps, better technique, better performance. ❌ Don’t wait for hormones. I trained for years before testosterone and that gave me a huge boost. It also helped my relationship with my body. 🧠 Training gave me a sense of control. Transition is full of uncertainty, but getting stronger gave me something I could work towards and measure. 👀 Stop comparing. Your progress is yours. Even if someone else has better genetics or starting advantages, you can still become so much stronger than your own day 1. ⚖️ Getting stronger doesn’t make dysphoria or dysmorphia disappear. But learning what my body can do has completely changed how I relate to it. Overall I train to feel comfortable in my body, not just to look a certain way. I love surprising myself with what I can do 💙 #gymtips #ftm #ftmfitness #workouttips #transfitness
