glasses are already a disability aid and the whole world has recognized the use of making them fit our personal style for every day use. why should any other disability aid be different? like sorry I didn't realize being disabled and also having a favorite colour was doing too much, damn.

I made a video on it and posted screenshots of the majority of the article (as it is paywalled) the telegraph is a right wing newspaper. They even said that reform (a political party) wanting to remove benefits for disabled people is a good idea. Sadly she will not lose her job and if I had to guess will be promoted as they all hate us

my granny was struggling with the reality of needing to use some aids because she didn't want to look like an old lady, I hyped her up on all the ways we could customise them and pimp them out so she'd look badass instead of like a 'frail old lady'. like her ingrained stigma is a whole other topic, but having the option to make it 'fun' genuinely helped cross her mental barriers. aids shouldn't have to be boring or serious because for some reason they think everyone with a disability should be permanently miserable.
