@johnelder.ai: OpenAI says GPT-6 Astra means AGI is here. They're lying. Is OpenAI's new model really artificial general intelligence? What does AGI even mean if the model still fails important tests, still needs guardrails, and still gets beaten by other frontier models on some public benchmarks? In this video, I break down the gap between the AGI marketing story and what the benchmark tables actually show. GPT-6 Astra may be powerful. That is not the same thing as AGI. OpenAI's own launch material shows impressive gains in coding, computer use, science, and automation, but it also shows areas where competitors still lead. The system card also makes clear that factuality, monitorability, sandbagging, safety, and dangerous capability questions are not solved problems. That matters because "AGI is here" is not a normal product claim. It changes expectations, investment behavior, media coverage, and public understanding of what these systems can actually do. If a model still has measurable failures, competitive gaps, and unresolved reliability issues, calling it AGI is not science. It is marketing. None_ya :
AGI definition changes constantly. I still think it's missing continuous learning which is different from in context learning
