Whatever you do, don’t make the two points touch. Doing so would give you a fraction of 0/0, and as we all know, division by zero isn’t defined. You’d have to come up with some sort of concept that limits how close those points can get. In fact, it could be arbitrarily close, so close that it snaps into the exact value. But seriously, don’t try it.
