When I was 11, a lady at my church’s son (he was like 6) was hit by a truck and almost died. The pastor’s wife told her that God was punishing her and her husband for their sins. A lot of people left the congregation after. That same wife later opened up about her battle with cancer, and someone that used to go to the church asked her what sin she committed to have God punish her like that. 💀
