Marco is not a good person. Connor is entering his villain era! The whole book is pretty depressing and may get backlash due to racial slurs. I'm sure those will be cleaned up for the movie, though.

marco is an awful awful guy! i think the character definitely cements the idea that connor is pushing against being typecast. a really good thing!!! i'm curious to see how the film handles the adaptation
