Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) mengusulkan pelarangan total rokok elektrik atau vape melalui Peraturan Presiden (Perpres). Usulan ini disampaikan sebagai langkah untuk mencegah penyalahgunaan zat berbahaya melalui produk rokok elektrik. Usulan tersebut disampaikan dalam rapat pembahasan kebijakan tata kelola peredaran rokok elektrik di Kantor Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan (Kemenko PMK), Jakarta, Rabu (9/9). Dalam rapat tersebut, BNN mengungkap sejumlah temuan barang bukti yang berkaitan dengan penyalahgunaan zat narkotika dan zat adiktif sepanjang 2026. BNN menyita 8.276,15 mililiter etomidate, 3.485 cartridge vape, dan zat adiktif berbahaya lainnya di Gresik. Barang bukti tersebut disita dari 26 kasus di sejumlah wilayah, di antaranya Kepulauan Riau, Sumatera Utara, Bali, Jambi, Gresik, dan Maluku. BNN menilai temuan tersebut menunjukkan adanya potensi penyalahgunaan rokok elektrik sebagai sarana peredaran zat berbahaya.
