Not to be mean after being crass. But as a indigenous woman this is just another stereotype.Making a native character a cannibal can be extremely racist if not handled properly and usually it isnt in most literature. Also you may have not meant it but there's a slight insinuation of a better design being a nonblack one. Also creole black people can/do have native ancestry. We are not a monolith. There is no native look. Its very dicey to take representation from a group that rarely gets any. Also many natives find it taboo to speak about these things so carelessly. They're all different things and have been improperly depicted in non-native created media.

This isn’t okay like genuinely. You go ahead and erase Alastor’s mixed heritage as is and reinforce the fact that people do forget he is supposed to be Creole and French which means he is supposed to be black and you race swap him and base him on indigenous stereotypes. This isn’t how this is supposed to work.
