Because now the person they swore was “too weak” is out here surviving pressure they couldn’t handle, making moves they were too scared to make, and becoming everything they tried to convince you that you weren’t. That’s gotta hurt. Your courage didn’t make them weak. It just ripped the costume off. Turns out they were never that powerful. You were just making yourself smaller so they could feel big.
