As a 30 year collector living in NYC and Paris they are literally all over these 2 cities. In Manhattan especially, I promise I see over 10 a day. Also the high quality fakes have made it appear everyone has them. Btw just shot a 74. Love you girl x

I live near South Coast Plaza which is supposedly crazy competitive but even there I hardly see anyone wearing their hermes bags so it's fun to hunt for them haha

I’ve never seen where I live in a north Atlanta suburb. I see tons of Louis Vuitton. Actually the only time I’ve seen Hermes is a pink mini Kelly at Disney World. Seriously, I wear my bags everywhere and no one knows the difference.

I’m in a nice area of major city and my daughter goes to a nice school. Whenever I’m there, all the moms have LV and Channel. No one ever recognizes my garden party. I’m constantly being told it’s beautiful, followed by “where did you get that?” I never see Hermes

I see them regularly but I work in lower Manhattan. I assume at least some are high quality fakes though. I’d address the Goyard epidemic first if I were going after high end handbags

I also live in a predominantly affluent area and I don’t think Birkins are “everywhere”. It may feel that way because social media has given ppl access to ppl all over the world. Just because you see a lot of unboxings doesn’t mean it’s common 😂

legitimate question: are birkins (or insert any other similar luxury purse/bag) useful and/or capable bags? and I ask this as someone who 1 has no interest in ever owning one, 2 thinks bags should be utilitarian, 3 doesn't understand the social rules people apply to bags being day time use bags or evening wear, and 4 does have an immense appreciation for the talent and effort that goes into making and maintaining/refurbishing them.

I just moved to Dubai and have seen a birkin and a mini kelly in the wild for the first time and it was so cool and these women were just going about their lives with these beautiful bags and I appreciated that.
