use gel glue!! I bought some that you dont need a UV light to cure it. it works just as well. its a thick gel. comes w glue remover. called "magic armor". AMAZING!

I use nail glue on the press on and on my nail. I dip the press on in acrylic powder and boom strong!!! It’s kinda similar to your method

I do this on myself but instead of applying it to the nail apply it to the tip, after pressing it on flip your nail over and pull the rest to the tip, makes them even more durable!! Add another small bead to the bottom
