Beautiful art, infuriating symbolism. The old patriarchal bs: man experiences desire…woman becomes the explanation for his desire…woman becomes temptation…temptation becomes moral danger….woman becomes Satan. What if the story were simply: he desired her? His desire belongs to him. She is not temptation. She is a woman. I hate this piece.
