A decent start! Lap up the knowledge and skills. After a couple of years you’ll be sick of living at the mercy of tickets and will be ready to move on. Oddly, the more you advance, the more you earn, possibly the less you do. I’m 48years old, possibly at my peak earning potential, Director grade, and barely do anything. Crazy world.

My advice for people who want to get into IT is to start from the bottom. Qualifications or not the experience you get from being on a service desk is worth more than any degree imo. maybe a year or 2 and you'll move up quickly
