She gave two different variations of the alleged "voices"' she had heard compelling her to do it. Forensic psychologist Dr. Kirk Heilbrun testified to that discrepancy, calling it "markedly inconsistent.” He went on to say that is "very unusual" and that she was more likely in control of her actions rather than under psychosis. On both of Lindsay's recounts of the alleged voices, she claimed the voices started immediately after he left which was AFTER she had already planned the timeline. She also claimed she never heard voices before OR after the act. Dr. Gregory Saathoff found that sequence unusual. He testified that he had never encountered a patient whose hallucinated voice disappeared specifically because the person completed the act the voice commanded. His testimony was, “Committing the act is not curative of the voice. I've not ever seen that.” She planned out errands for Patrick and used apple maps to see EXACTLY how long she could get him out of the house... Who uses apple maps to see EXACTLY how long it would take to pick up food at a restaurant you've been to multiple times unless your planning for a time crunch, anyway? Also, Lindsay phone GPS data shows her moving around the house around the time that Patrick was out running the errands. Meaning she was alive while he was out. It shows both that she knew right from wrong because she didn't want her husband to catch her in the process so she had to make sure he wasn't home and intent/planning because she picked a restaurant farther from home than their usual takeout choices and she checked EXACTLY how long he'd be gone so that she'd have enough time to carry out the plan. It shows without a doubt an intent and methodical planning... NOT simply "I heard voices and acted on it”
