You are so right. I remember when I used to have guilt fits when I didn’t go in due to illness, and one day another teacher said to me stop fretting because the kids and the school will still be here when you get back. I got cancer in 2022, and Choice I really found out how much the school was there for me? How about not sick leave bank was all I got left their hearts because staff no other principal gave a rats but about my health.

I gained 30 lbs in 4 years. I was as so overstressed and overstimulated I developed chronic inflammation, fatigue, depression, anxiety… I’d literally come home and go straight to bed. Teaching took everything from me & my own health and family suffered for it. And it was never enough. I resigned. Also I work part-time as a bartender and I make significantly more.
