Well tbf that feeling does go away fast when I find other people who can actually hold a conversation about the big ideas and issues in my mind, or when I encounter someone who has clearly thought through something more than I have that I didn’t realize mattered in the way it actually does, but modern life is so isolating in several ways it’s hard to avoid it when I am isolated. Driving is a great example, I have some grace and would probably have more if people could meaningfully communicate, but as is it runs out fast and I’m quickly left with the feeling I’m surrounded by morons.

I never really struggled with that tbh. What I have struggled with is how to handle it when I see others falling into it. I’m like “nooo that’s a cliff you’re heading towards” and they’re like “you just don’t get it” *falls into oblivion*
