It's not solved yet. Needs to get reviewed and published first. There were many proofs like that before from different people. They always fail because of some conditions not being exactly as required or the equation itself being averaged.

Really bad idea to try and use public pricing to figure out how much it cost. Given openAI will start talking 60% discounts just to sign you up to enterprise along with the plus/pro subs that are much more in line with inference only pricing

i'd like to add my comment on this. There are two guys I think who teach in Switzerland who in recent months have published a fuck ton of results on Navier Stokes and the guy who years ago had demonstrated a weak case started using their methods to move forward and came very close to proving the general case, but it seems that someone knew about his work (he accuses openAI of having trained their models on what he fed to GPT) and they decided to spend several million dollars to use all the computational power they had available and get out all the mathematicians they could to finish the last steps before that poor asshole could do it. also in the announcement they had said that it had all been done by AI and whatnot, when it turned out that in reality not only did they steal most of the work from that guy, but they also used all the resources, both human and hardware, that they could because otherwise it would have been impossible. i think AI didn't do much at all, also considering this comment from terence tao from a while back (sorry for bad quality)
