@f.i.t.witherica: I try so hard to keep these videos short but I just have so much to say about this topic.. I pray this video finds the woman at home who’s feeling hopeless and gives you the strength to fight for for yourself. You’re worth fighting for! #perimenopause #perimenopauseawareness #perimenopausehealth #creatorsearchinsights
I didn’t know my mental health could be so bad. My anxiety was through the roof to the point where I felt dizzy anytime I left my house for a full year. I’m a therapist and we didn’t learn about this in grad school at all so I’ve been educating myself so I can prepare my clients and encourage them to seek medical advice from a menopause specialist where appropriate.

My mind is driving me insane. The panic, fear, anxiety are out of control. So far I haven’t gotten any help. I don’t have a diagnosis yet but I have all the symptoms at 44. It all started for me 16 months ago. My regular mental health meds no longer help my anxiety. I’ve always had anxiety but not like this. Not life changing. My mental health meds have made it so now I have high BP and makes me think I’m dying. It’s crazy. I have an appt on October 14th. It can’t come soon enough.

I am 43 and perimenopause hit me more this year like a train 🚂 went to the dr because I felt like I would end up in the coo coo house finally in HRT but I still feel like I might need to adjust the dosage on my estradiol patch it is definitely a rollercoaster though 😔

I’m taking Celexa for my horrible anxiety, definitely helps with the anxiety but not the dizziness in public so I’ll be adding a medication to this one. Forget what it’s called, picking it up today. I’m praying it helps

Turned 39 in April, started with hot flashes and insomnia out of nowhere one night in Feb,followed by panic and anxiety. Went to dr who offered antidepressants or birth control, took bc for one month, which made everything worse! Started hrt in April and after a few adjustments I can say I feel almost like myself. It’s very true, it takes time and I had to do a lot of research because all of this was new to me. The women around me didn’t have any symptoms which made me feel so isolated but thank God I didn’t give up, I had to go find a menopause specialist (drs still think I’m too young for peri due to still having periods) and so far all my symptoms have disappeared except for a mild hot flash every now and then. My labs were elevated a bit before hrt too and now they’re normal, lost some weight as well. My best advice to all ladies out there, take one day at a time, all of this takes time, listen to your body and don’t settle. 🫶
