Thank you so much for sharing this sis. This is the most resonating message I have received in my anticipatory grief season I’m in. My baby is still with me and I am balancing staying so grateful and happy and making her as comfortable as possible. Yet there’s this looming black hole that I sense constantly. I have off my practices because of the rage I feel for having to feel this experience so deeply. But being reminded that I have to prep my body to help myself through this experience that I’m dreading but finding courage to move through it. My baby has literally been my only support system and regulator. And just like your baby, mine is here teaching me so much. Thank you again for sharing this 🫂

We lost my sweet girl 2 weeks ago. It was very sudden and we are still shocked that she’s gone.😔 Her death has definitely changed me. It’s been hard. I still haven’t seen her in my dreams. But we still “feel” or hear her around the house. It’s so weird but I like to think she’s visiting where she felt the most happy and safe. 🤍

I lost my beloved 18 year old dog, and two weeks later my other senior dog was fighting for his life for a week in the vet hospital. He passed at the end of the week and I feel like…. I’m trapped in that week. I am on edge and anxious as if waiting for a devastating phone call. I keep seeing flashbacks of his last infusion and last moments. This is so hard and I don’t know how to move on.

I lost my soul dog last year. She was my everything, always there with every heartbreak every mental breakdown everything. She loved me when my manic depression made me become ugly. She loved me through it all and she’ll always be my baby. When I picked up her urn I sobbed. I sometimes still look for her, recently my sister got me another dog and she does things my baby would do. I feel like my soul dog sent her to me because she knew I needed her. My soul dog was named star and her little sister is named Skye. One day I looked at her and saw this in her eye. Grief isn’t easy, I sometimes still cry when I remember my star but I know she’ll always be with me even if she isn’t physically. I’m so sorry for your loss angel I know it isn’t easy. ❤️

I lost my soul dog six months ago to the day. And it is the most painful thing that I have ever gone through in my life. I’m pretty selective now with who I talk to about this because you are completely right, people don’t really understand, and I didn’t understand until it happened to me. It has rewired my nervous system, the way that I see the world and how I interact with people. I’m just different now. There’s a constant quiet sadness. But in the beginning, it was such a visceral response that it was hard for me to just get through the day in one piece. I’m still having a hard time taking good care of myself, but I’ve been in therapy, I’m trying to get outside more. I walk for him every night. Ricky, I love you so much my baby 😪🪽❤️🩹
