I was 16. We tried to sneak into another room for a late night goss session. Our 36 year old classical history teacher was sitting in the hall, on the floor, in his PJ set, reading his kindle. I’m in my 30s now…I understand him.

We hid in the drawers under the beds in the boys room then climbed out the window, only to be greeted by our teacher with half a bottle of wine and a cigar who made us climb back in and walk through reception

We did this. I was voted most likely not to be in trouble for doing it so I was chosen to walk out of my room and find my teacher on the floor waiting. I made an excuse that I had left my phone in the hotel lobby. I lIED!!! He took me downstairs to get it and while he was gone everyone raced into each others rooms 😭😂

When I was 15 (female) I stayed in a hotel with about 40 students. They didn’t tape our doors but they kept physically inspecting rooms until lights out. We were the boring group so they rarely checked our room. At one point we get a knock on our door so we assume it’s the chaperones performing a check. We open the door and four of the 13 year old guys run into our room. We’re like “What are you doing, you’re going to get us in trouble?!” They go “WE’RE going to be in so much trouble! They’ll probably send us home!” We were confused until the fifth guy from their room ran in carrying the screen door from their balcony. They’d come to us for advice. They got so excited about their balcony that they opened the glass door and didn’t realize there was a screen door. There was a teenage guy sized hole in it. After we stopped laughing we told them to go down to reception and fess up. Apparently the hotel knew the screen doors were hard to see so they kept extras stashed away. They didn’t end up charging the group for the replacement door.

before checking into the hotel my teacher gave a huge speech about trust whatever and said theyd be coming to put tape on our doors and if they ripped theyd tell our parents/not be allowed again next year (set rules and consequences beforehand!!)

I tried…. Saw my teacher chilling in the hallway. Tried telling her I was going for a shower (it was a hostel and everyone shared 5 showers and there was set times we could use them, I thought it was plausible). She called me out for not having a towel, then I saw SHE HAD A TOWEL so I called her out for showering when we weren’t meant to. We agreed to not mention the encounter to anyone.

we scaled the balconies between our rooms thought we were so fucking slick the teachers were only checking the hallways turns out it was all on CCTV and they showed it to our teachers the next day 😭😭😭😭

Plastic cups on the door handles… loud enough to make a noise when the doors are opened but not enough noise to wake everyone. Also impossible to put back if they open it 🤭
