Hunting season is right around the corner, so I’m looking for more ways to turn the venison we have in our freezer into easy family dinners. 🍂❤️ Having meat put away really helps stretch our grocery budget through the winter, especially when our work slows down, so I’m always thankful for it—and I’m determined to find more ways to use it! Tonight I made this creamy Venison Stroganoff and it turned out SO GOOD. I show you exactly how I make it in the video, so here’s what you’ll need: VENISON STROGANOFF • 2 sticks butter • 4 Tbsp oil • 2 Tbsp minced garlic • 2 onions, chopped/sliced • 2 cups cubed venison • 2 Tbsp seasoning salt • 2 cups beef broth • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce • 2 cups sliced mushrooms • 1/3 cup sherry cooking wine • Cornstarch slurry, as needed to thicken • 1/2 cup sour cream • Noodles for serving Sauté the onions and garlic in the butter and oil, then remove them from the pan. Add the seasoned venison and cook until browned. Add the onions back in along with the beef broth, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire, mushrooms and cooking sherry. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Slowly whisk in your cornstarch slurry and cook for another couple of minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from the heat, stir in the sour cream and let it stand for about 5 minutes. Serve over warm noodles and ENJOY! ❤️ Now I need your help—what’s YOUR favorite way to cook venison? I’m looking for more recipes to try this hunting season! #JustTheBells10 #VenisonRecipes #HuntingSeason #EasyFamilyMeals #BudgetFriendlyMeals
