Just do this. You’ll be fiine. Make sure it’s an alpha sekhmet. Regular doesn’t work the same. There’s a bug in alpha sekhmets settings.

In all seriousness if your Pals are spending all their time eating it’s because the food they’re eating has a low nutritional value so they get hungrier faster. Salads are pretty easy and keep Pals fuller for longer.
