Honestly it can go both ways. If parents become strict because of their kids messing around and being sneaky than that’s understandable, but if parents are strict even when their kids aren’t sneaky. Then that is completely different

i completely disagree i’m not even aloud to leave the house, have friends over or get my license and i turn 17 next month im moving out because i can’t take it another year i understand what you are saying but im not sneaky ive told them the things ive done to see if they would be less strict and it didnt work i was abused until i was old enough to stand up for myself and i have to live with the fact i never had a real parent to teach me things (my real mom died when i was 5 from drinking and driving she was a alcoholic and my real dad has never been in the picture) my step parents treat me differently from their actual kids and it sucks man.

This is frying me. Every treat, action you’ve ever done is based off of the environment you grow up in if you were teaching your child, that they cannot tell you things that may not be up to your standards. You were teaching them to be secretive and sneaky.
