Unpopular opinion but I made so much food and didn’t want any of it! All I wanted was fresh salads, fruits, and sandwiches! This time around I think I will do things for breakfast (is nice not to have to think about) as well as more snack options and soups!

BREAKFAST SANDWICHES!!!!! When I was a week or two postpartum/trying to establish milk supply and literally running on 4/5 hours of broken sleep, being able to eat one of those and then basically go back to sleep after the baby went back down around seven or 8 AM and know I just ate 30g protein and it tasted amazing was such a godsend. 26w with my 2nd and will be making a ton!!

Single portion meals, breakfast burritos, and lactation banana bread (cut into slices and wrap singular pieces so that you can throw in the toaster oven to reheat), and soup🌟🤍

I did HelloFresh all three times. Something about being creative-ish was therapeutic.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant as a ftm currently staying home and the urge to nest hit me hard this week so I made a like 12 page document planning out what I'm going to make but I'm not starting until maybe 32 weeks https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WKkoKJUw-8R7JlXpH1cREAMdAdyO_yss6EQsBvE1sp0/edit?usp=drivesdk

Breakfast sandwiches have been so good. Just freezer saved them and threw them in the air fryer. I also made meatballs that would be easy to put in pasta, marinated chicken so it would be easy to grill.

For my sister we made an ungodly amount of cookie dough and protein bites :) she also loved having things she could eat with one hand (any type of burrito, protein packed sheet pan tacos, and breakfast sandwiches by the dozens)

I'm planning on making a bunch of calzones with different fillings to freeze. My mom did that growing up and they were a hit.

If you have family and friends nearby, ask them to make you some freezer meals and maybe put someone in charge of stocking your fridge while you’re in the hospital. Right now….PLEASE REST… I’m 12 weeks pp and regret all the time I spent nesting and preparing instead of doing simply nothing

Hear me out - an uncrustable out of toaster during middle of the night feeds when you’re starving, really hit the spot! We didn’t meal prep anything because we have a really small freezer!

Here are some things I’ve made but still waiting on baby girl: chili, Italian meatballs, banana oatmeal bake, lots of frozen cookie dough, pizza biscuits, ham and cheese biscuits, and enchiladas. Still have more to prep!

Bean and cheese burritos. The fiber from the beans and the protein in the cheese really helped when I couldn’t bear doing something with meat. Customize it to you!!! Super freezer friendly and ingredients can be purchased in bulk.
