Not a huge Kelly Osbourne fan but this is a superb example of how you can disagree with someone, explain why you feel they have that opinion in a reasonable way but also accept they are allowed an opinion.

this was set up for a gotcha moment she was so happy to talk about her love for the lgbt but the interviewer only asked so he could turn around and say “its weird you have a far right mum then”

Absolutely brilliant, Kelly kept cool instead of storming off saying "don't talk about my mum" she answered honestly, and explained herself, and disagreed with her mum, honestly brilliant. Sharon and the older generation don't know enough about it, I honestly believe most of it isn't hatred or dislike, it's it's more like not understanding trans people correctly. Even the people that are very accepting, it's very thought provoking and sometimes confusing. Love Kelly's response xxx

This is the reality for a lot of us in the UK right now, a lot of our parents have views and political opinions that their children do not share whatsoever.

Children aren’t responsible for their parents. She looks genuinely sad. She can still love her mother despite that. It’s hard to have a family member who has hateful views but sometimes you are their only window to the world outside of their echo chamber. It shouldn’t be an obligation, but if you want to, I applaud it.
