@rapdecoded0: They called him “Lil Jeff,” but the reputation surrounding his name became bigger than the music. 🕊️ Bloodhound Lil Jeff, whose real name was Jeffrey Roberson, became a recognizable figure in Chicago drill. Online, stories about his alleged involvement in violence spread rapidly. Some sources and street rumors claimed he had multiple “bodies,” with the number 12 frequently associated with his own claims and internet discussions. One of the names often mentioned in those allegations was Jalil Goyns, known as Leal from Trap City, who was killed in September 2023. But here’s the part people often leave out: Rumors are not convictions. Despite the stories circulating through music, social media, and online forums, those allegations were not the same as a confirmed law-enforcement finding that Lil Jeff committed those killings. Lil Jeff was killed on June 8, 2024, bringing his life and rapidly growing drill career to an abrupt end. His story became another example of how, in Chicago drill, music, street reputation, rumors, and real-life violence can become impossible to separate online. But when the story is about someone’s alleged crimes, the difference between “rumored” and “proven” matters. 🕊️ RIP Lil Jeff.
