The eggs were secured through settlements with three major egg producers—Cal-Maine Foods, Centrum/Versova and Hickman’s Egg Ranch—following antitrust claims involving alleged efforts to inflate egg prices between 2022 and 2025. 📅 When will Texans get them? Distribution is already underway. More than 1.7 million eggs have been delivered to Texas food banks, while another 5.322 million eggs are scheduled to arrive in the coming weeks. The eggs are not being handed out directly by the Attorney General or given away at grocery stores. They are being distributed through 17 participating food banks, working with Feeding Texas. Individual food banks will determine how the eggs reach people in their communities. 🥚 Where are the eggs going?
