Him not having a strong Brooklyn accent is making me so curious about whether the income level you grow up in influences your accent… or are accents simply a choice? And ive noticed this across cities. Ive met ppl from New Orleans w strong accents & ppl w barely any noticeable accent outside of a normal southern accent. The only difference I found was some grew up poor and some grew up upper/ middle class.

Dude do what I did long ago, get the flipping out of NY. There is a better quality of life outside of it, trust me! I was born and raised in NYC, miss me with that $3k to 5k rent BS!! I own my own home that is over 2300 sqft, 4 beds, 3 baths, chef's kitchen, 2 car with huge swimming pool in a non HOA community and a great part of town all for $1500 a month in Las Vegas! Come on now?!

That’s basically how wifey & I do our finances. She puts up about $1,000 & I cover mostly everything else, we split the food bilI. She covers alot of the kids expenses. I pay a much higher mortgage, cars, college tuition & always pay when we go out. it’s been 26 years & no money arguments at all. Vacation are 50/50.
