Mirandia Wonderly :
I forgot something in the house when we were all leaving recently. My husband offered to get whatever it was for me so I could get in the ac in the car. I couldn't form words to tell him I couldn't think of the name of the forgotten item, or describe its location. I just said that's ok. We went back and forth like that a couple more times. I finally just pushed back in the door and he didn't move fast enough, so I bumped into him. I was panicking by then, so I couldn't come up with excuse me. So I raised my voice and said I've got it! He told me to calm down. He went to the car, I got the thing. I was almost in tears when we left. He didn't say anything for a few blocks. I did, in fact, calm down, and explained to him that I keep forgetting words, and when he tries to coax them out of me, it makes me forget more words. And I told him telling me to calm down sends me into a feral fury. So, in the future, if I just stop talking, don't try to help me before I ask, because it only makes it worse. Then I apologized for yelling and told him I love him. He accepted, told me he loves me, thanked me for the explanation, and said HE'S sorry I'm dealing with that. He's literally the best.
