Why was he not charged with contempt of court if he refused to follow the law? He had reasonable doubt and the law states that doubt is to benefit the accused.

I’m glad it was a mistrial now cuz even the jury didn’t listen to the trial.if they thought she admitted to doing it and wasn’t told then I’m glad they didn’t get a verdict

Reading a lot of comments from males both in the US and UK there seems to be a pattern of the same stance and they're argumentative, arrogant but if you say something that is perfectly logical they go silent. It isn't just men though because a lot of women have behaved the same and even praised this male juror that held out and caused a mistrial. In the UK it is a majority verdict so this would have been over now.
