A little back story on Judge Sullivan. He presided over the trial of Lartasha Sanders. She was convicted of killing her kids. She has been granted a retrial because Judge Sullivan wouldn't allow her medical history to be presented during the trial. So Judge Sullivan's next trial is to preside over the retrial of Lartasha Sanders. A trial that is being retried due to his own mistakes.

I am disappointed in Judge Sullivan. I understand it was his discretion but it seems obvious that this juror decided to not follow the law nor the judge’s directions.

C'mon, Hawk. Integrity. If he replaces the one juror, the whole f*ckin trial starts *all over again*. Which, in time, the same as a mistrial. With the essential same result, he's smart to keep his paws off.

As someone who worked in the courtroom you know that orders are given because the judge and everyone in the room expects them to follow the law and instructions given to them .

Before the mistrial there was a reporter who was describing jurors during the trial and said that one man took no notes and when the judge was reading the charge all the jurors were reading along, except for the one man. I really wonder if it was the holdout juror.

The defense attorney suggesting Trump should pardon Lindsey was very strange and out of character given these are state charges

Would the judges refusal to replace the juror be grounds for appeal?

I saw Reddington go on GMA this morning and was begging Donald Trump for a pardon, so is he Maga or does he have to become Maga if he sells his soul? Just asking.

I haven’t seen the whole interviews but it just sounds like they were pissed off he didn’t agree with them, He may have thought she had some mental incapacity but not enough to give a not guilty by mental incapacity. Also, would you believe jurors, who seemed to be using their own knowledge “as nurses” on the toxicology report rather than relying on expert testimony.

The judge is related to Patrick…. So, what more do you want? That’s why Patrick was allowed to directly approach him.

Thank you for this breakdown this is my main question. I felt like this judge was kind of a pushover. But what do I know.

Thank you for explaining Hawk. I’m in the UK there are lots of differences in law to the US. I do think (as I said in another post) that the Judge was not forceful enough and lame in his execution of directions. Reddington called this out on the last and final recall. I think it’s right that the overseeing and discretion is called out. Let’s hope it is

They don’t understand the power the judge has. They cover the law the jury decides the facts
