I was the target demographic for this show, elementary school to 02. I loved Recess on One Saturday Morning. I had a friend who wasn't allowed to watch Recess because Mikey burped in the title sequence... 😅

the principles and Miss finster were the villains but at the same point they both had flaws that made them childlike so we could relate to them. and we all loved Miss Grotke she represented everyone's favorite teacher when they were in school

The way I view the show as a spiritual successor to 9 to 5, but tackling Childism the same way the 1980 movie tackled Sexism. Also both starred Dabney Coleman. RIP Dabney and Dolly
