This might very well be mental illness, but here's the deal. You typically know when your child or family member is mentally ill. If you're responsible, you get that individual help. The medical establishment is to TREAT that person and help them cope and become well. That's what TREATMENT does. The families and the medical team need to work together. I'm not saying he's mentally ill, but most likely he is and yet again, it's just another person who has been failed by their family and the medical establishment. Again.
