Odd for sure but what really sticks out to me is that it wasn’t showing a problem 🤔🤔🤔🤔

it's usually one coil that shorts out the rest on that bank

I had a Land Rover LR3 with a 4.4L and had a similar issue. One bad coil took out the whole bank.

The fact that they failed but didn’t throw fault codes makes me think some kind of short where signal was getting back to the computer with the proper values somehow. I could see that with one, but three at the same time is crazy.

Worked on a jeep once. Coils are hot then get grounded downstream to fire them. The downstream hot was rubbing somewhere and kept killing one coil. I couldn’t find it so just did an overlay for that 1 wire and no problems since. Losing 3? Gotta be the pcm grounding them all constantly. Or jiggling the pcm just fixed it temporarily. Have you actually checked that the coils are bad?

sounds like a power surge to that side of the engine burning them out

Do those coils have a capacitor a lot of times there’s a small capacitor going to each bank for the coils and if that goes bad, it can cause the coils to die

I know this is basic, but did you check grounds? I had a frontier one day do this crap and I found a frame ground that looked like a chia pet causing the issues.
