but people say that Edric is the same as Varkas if they don't know that the scene where Thalia was strangled by her brother, he wouldn't be nice to Thalia. Might it be because Varkas lacks any emotional connection with everyone and everything due to his intense training and all? He is still in hazes about Thalia, Edric on the other hand acts like any other normal human being would, I have a feeling, even if it was any other nobel and not Thalia, Edric would still be Edric
