As someone that’s been through a lot of layoffs/restructurings/etc, let me tell you: it’s NOT personal. We are numbers on a spreadsheet. Despite what LinkedIn influencers say, we have a lot less control over our careers than we think. You can be a top performer, but if your division is getting cut then you’re gone. You’ll recover from this and find a new job 😃
