@praise2funny: What do we want as a community? #fyp #BlackTikTok #colorism #react #fypシ

꩜ :

ain’t nobody black though … we brown folks

🎭🎧ANG3L C0V3R5🎧🎭 :

Wait I’m confused, since I’m mixed I can’t call myself lightskin? Someone told me that

.hailey.rae.smith :

I think it’s totally fine to acknowledge your color like light skin, brown skin , and dark skin. All shades are beautiful. I think the issue is the problem with colorism in the black community. When people think being light skin is a lot better than being dark skinned. So I feel like some people take those terms in the wrong light.

🫥…………🫥 :

I am browns skin

✽꧁♕ꨄ𝓐𝓵𝓮𝔁𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓻𝓪 ꨄ♕꧂✽ :

Like yes I’m brown skin like why are u mad bc im brown skin

isra 4 life💋🫶🏾🇸🇴 :

Exactly

￶　 　  ️￶ :

Why r we so focused on shades😭

ty :

its weird

⃟ :

i agreed then i realized i feel like mentioning our shades divide us like some ppl prefer brown skin over darkskins but literally at the end of the day they’re both black so why do u like one over the other, it’s colorism.

🩻 :

What about caramel?

𝗢𝗯𝗮 𝗢𝗷𝗮𝘆 :

Yes exactly I'm not better or worse cuz I'm brown we all blks

Free :

EXACTLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY “brownskin isnt real” like wtfff we come in ALLL SHADES

mslove_.14 :

People assume that all biracial people are light skinned but ig that’s not the case for me and probably plenty of other biracial mfs. My mom is white and my dad is black and usually when I tell others this they’re shocked and they don’t expect it since I don’t necessarily look biracial in others eyes 🤷🏽‍♀️👍🏽

kacia paris 🎀 :

i still don’t know what i am chile

ayana :

yes the argument against brownskin annoys me. some dummies even said the term was invented this year !! 😭😭😭 that’s who’s at the helm of the conversation like

🩰Brianna :

It’s coz sometimes people use these shades to discriminate as if we’re not all black , like some light skins say they don’t like darker skin people, they use it to devide us

HarmonyfavByler🔆🌀&Bychance :

I have multiple different browns on my body

iluvunic0rnzz_ :

i think it's more that the black community has put a negative connotation to the term "dark skin" and used it as a way to antagonize black people, so now people hate being put into that category even when it isn't being used in a negative way

BLEACHED🧊💞👋🏾 :

i can't tell if I'm lightskin or BROWNSKIN🤷🏾‍♀️🤤

ฅᨐฅ :

Wait what?

️ :

eggxactlyyy omg thank u

🌚Pr3+¥n3🌚 :

user75890869130 :
