@nbcla: A hazmat response at a chemical plant caused shelter in place notices and the evacuation of a middle school on Tuesday. LA County Fire says the smoke came from a business on Cypress Street that makes household cleaning products, and that the orange cloud formed when some chemicals accidentally mixed together. The fire department says those chemicals were not toxic, and air quality testing has shown that the neighborhood was not at risk. All shelter in place and evacuation orders were dropped and no one was hospitalized. #nbcla
