when I was 19, I was in a DV situation. the power was out for almost a week. he took the car and went to a woman's house and left me there with no power to take care of his dog. he killed himself a year later and did 👏 not 👏 kill 👏 me 👏 i survived. one of my proudest accomplishments. I hope your power comes back on quickly! thank goodness for your genny!

I lived outside of New Orleans during Katrina. We were without power for weeks. We evacuated, so a couple weeks of that were with family, but we ended up buying a generator and going home to clean up when we could get back. We were still without power for a few more weeks.

around 18 hours without power. During ice storms with a toddler, so had to be hypervigilant. We held up in 1 room with blankets over doorways, windows & extra clothes. I'm extremely thankful that the temperture wasn't 40 below zero then

Hopefully your power is back by now! Last winter I had a tree branch break off and rip down the lines behind my house and didn’t have power for 36 hrs, that was the longest one. Luckily it was cold enough to keep food outside and I have a fireplace + gas stove & hot water heater.

I pray yall get power back soon!!!! We lost power for about a week after Hurricane Helene a couple years ago. I’m in South Carolina. My 2 year old now was a baby at the time and it was not easy. But I’m so thankful it wasn’t nearly as bad as many other people have suffered.

We were without power for 4 days back in 2013. Thankfully we had generators too. Our kids were 1.5 and 2.5 at the time, so that wasn’t super convenient. Lots of snuggle time though!! 🥰
