@nourishedbybeth: SAVE & SHARE recipe in captionšŸ‘‡ Returning doesn’t always mean going back. Sometimes, it’s a beginning. Being back in my kitchen feels so good—and also completely new. As Rosh Hashanah approaches, it feels especially timely to be intentional about the energy I’m creating in this space and carrying into the year ahead. One of my favorite parts of our Jewish tradition is the simanim: whole foods from God that become the focal point of our blessings and intentions. I don’t think it’s coincidental that nourishing a new year also begins with nourishing our bodies. My twist on tamar (Hebrew word for date): Tahini Orange-Blossom Stuffed Dates ✨ 12 Medjool dates ¼ cup tahini 1 tablespoon silan ¼ teaspoon orange blossom water Pinch of salt Pomegranate seeds, sesame seeds, flaky salt, to finish Mix the filling, chill until slightly thickened about 15 min, then spoon into the pitted dates. Sweet, savory, fiber-rich and balanced with plant protein… it’s perfect as a snack or simple Rosh Hashanah dessert. Maybe new energy isn’t something we wait to feel. Maybe it’s something we choose to create. #syrian #jewish #roshhashana #RoshHashanah #singlemom
