I think what everybody's gotta understand is alan moore is a hater, no matter what, even the artwork that he likes he still criticizes. I think that's part of what makes him a good artist, but still, the ending isn't what makes the story. the story along the way is what builds everything up, end , the ending is just h a cherry on top.

The backstory in the Book is an option, in the story its clear that the joker has multiple backstorys. So we dont know his backstory what makes him more unique
