@attorneystara: The jurors thoughts on Kevin Reddington reflect what you can get away with if the jury is already on your side. Their thoughts on the Commonwealth in the #lindsayclancy trial were not a surprise, nor was what the majority verdict was. #lawyersoftiktok #criminaldefense

As an Aussie lawyer it is fascinating to see jurors allowed to speak to the press after trials, especially when cases aren’t finalised. Our free speech “rights” don’t extend to ever discussing juror deliberations.

Reddington is MASTERFUL. I’ve watched countless trials gavel to gavel and he is one of the most outstanding defense attorneys I’ve ever seen.

I was telling my husband that the prosecution coming off as hating her (on a personal level) was going to make their case less credible/compelling.

He’s also very east coast, very Massachusetts/New England. We are very blunt here.

A lot of people on both sides are being critical of these women, which makes me sad. Clearly they are smart, educated critical thinkers with compassion who did their best. I find their humanity endearing and think that said humanity is the whole point of a jury. Also, can I adopt them.

I’m clocking in as a devote commentator to your videos 🙋🏼‍♀️HOT HOT HOT TAKE: I wonder how much hate or if the same degree of hate would be given to the prosecution if they were male. I’m not a huge huge fan of them, I did feel they handled it wrong. But they are just prosecuting a case the DA gave marching orders on. No way if they were men would the internet have gone so hard on them

i suspect the prosecution will try not to make this mistake twice, but if all the ADAs are derivatives of Cruz (or those bows) then i wonder if their new found compassion will come off as disingenuous. performative compassion has a certain vibe? odor? i can't think of the word, but people seem to know it when they see it.

I understand what the jury did and I don’t disagree that NGRI is the best outcome for her, the state absolutely should be responsible for paying her bills at this point. But the fact that the jury did not go into it with the presumption of innocence is in itself problematic, no? Some of them said flat out they knew she did it because she said she did it, except she didn’t, and the prosecution didn’t prove that she did. I know for some of the jurors NGRI was the compromise, but I don’t understand how people don’t understand that if the prosecution doesn’t prove she did it, the verdict should be a straight not guilty, period.

I am disgusted by what came out in these juror interviews. Would they be this concerned about “compassion” for a black defendant or a poor defendant they found less relatable? Absolutely not. I’m relieved there was a mistrial and hope the charges are reduced so she can actually be convicted and serve an appropriate prison sentence.

I don't have any issues with what these ladies are saying and nor do I have issues with the guy who thought she was guilty. We don't have professional juries in America. And we shouldn't.

My thing is… you can have compassion for someone and still hold them accountable. The prosecution did their job showing that Lindsay was in her right mind at that time. Mentally ill yes. Insane no. This was rightfully a mistrial.

You are way too kind at how you say “I told you so”! Some of the fools on this app need to really listen when you speak! 🥰

I thought he was confident, I didn’t think he was arrogant though. I think a lot of people mistake or confuse confidence with arrogance. Big Red is confident because he is good at his job.

The point Kevin made that the jurors don’t get any help after these trials is sad. This will never leave them. I couldn’t each watch the start of the trial and I avoided the medical examiner’s testimonies because it’s just too hard.

I knew nothing about this case before starting to watch the trial. They worded my thoughts perfectly, I even wrote a longer post about it in a group and even people who where on the guilty train agreed with me that there was doubt and confusion

Dying to know what you think about the juror holdout not applying the law! We really don’t have a legal process to resolve this?? That seems bad!

Why does it sound like - in the full interview - that they believed L didn’t deny that she killed the kids? Like they didn’t even know she plead NOT GUILTY and they could have possibly acquitted her all together?

I have to wonder how the prosecution misread the jury so badly? I’d assume the CW put their most experienced prosecutors on this case, since they were pursuing M1.

I'm so thrilled the jury finally said it!! I mean there are still people who think that the verdict was a straight up NG...it's wild!! Also I know very little about trial law but I feel like a good defense attorney is a bit of a showman!!

I feel like the speaking out is this soon is just setting up the prosecution with step by step directions on doing it better the next time …should they choose to retry ( which they will)

Given that jurors are giving interviews, and the president is commenting on the trial, how big a deal is this in terms of a retrial and finding a new impartial jury?

His arrogance and confidence sold his case, whilst helping tank the prosecution - it made them look not confident in ther position. The same when he came out swinging saying he was ready for trial 2 immediately. He sounded confident. Tim Cruz said they didn't know about trial 2 yet...but then 2 seconds later said their case was solid. If he really believed that, that is fine, but if you were that confident, be honest about trial 2 immediately 🤷🏼‍♀️
