Try to flatten your tongue within your teeth even more and imagine a golf ball at the back of your throat to raise the side palate and create more space for resonance of sound. And yes open your mouth!

It looks like her lower jaw might be too far back, forcing the tounge to be bunched up in the back- making it much harder to manipulate in a way that's conducive to singing. It is an extremely difficult hurdle to overcome and it's really awesome seeing her successfully learning to sing with it. It's impressive.
