Could you use an automatic feader machine like programmed to feed her early in the morning ? Not ideal to train her not to scream in the morning but in the meantime.

So I went through this. We use a noise machine with an alarm for our pig. So when it’s turned on she stays asleep and then it’s got an alarm at 7:45 am and she gets up for the day. Took a few weeks but it worked

Honestly crate training worked wonders for my piggy. She knew at night that she would sleep in her crate and was quiet till she heard us wake up

It’s important to share this side of your situation. You are doing your best and Annie is with the right people! If you do have to postpone your honeymoon it will be totally worth it - we waited 3 months before ours and it was great to have something to look forward to! It will all work out 🙌🏻

I feel you. I have a senior bulldog who wakes me to use the bathroom at least twice in the night due to her heart meds. That makes my pig wake up, then sometime all this wakes up my 2 kids

Pigs are so darn smart and she is manipulating the situation and knowing you don’t have a choice. The loudness of pigs makes it impossible to ignore so I get it completely. You are such a great mama and when humans babies come along they will be so blessed. Adding this to the already extra stress of the wedding is a lot. YOU ARE DOING GREAT MINA.

Anyone who ever owned a pig knows this is just part of raising a forever toddler. It’s not always sunshine & rainbows. Sometimes they will test boundaries when it comes to food. I had a phase where 3am sounded like a good breakfast time . You know what’s best & got this. It’s just temporary for miss Annie 🤎

Every pet parent struggles with something my younger cat keeps attacking my older cat because he has too much energy I was in hospital and had my appendix removed so I haven’t been able to give him any real play time it’s not a big deal but I know how guilty I feel about it and I can resolve it when I’m feeling better but it’s not an over night thing so pet parent guilt hits hard you guys are doing everything you can right now and from what I’ve seen you will figure it out ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve been where you are. I have 5 indoor pigs. Every additional pig had struggles. Property is the answer. Being able to ignore them until YOU are ready is the answer. Mine now simple don’t even try anymore. We do feed them every day at as close to the same time everyday. They love routines.

Ok I hate saying this because we all love Annie & you foster failed bcus you love her, but it feels like she may not the best fit for your family. I know she’s so loved, but it seems like she doesn’t get the same attention as Merlin. He’s your baby and the star! What if he never accepts her living alongside him the way he was raised?

i am not really educated on piggy’s. but i’ve loved following your page. i have been an equine vet tech for 10 years (horse nurse lol). i’ve always heard pigs are like dogs but more intelligent; would you be able to teach her to be crated? and then at night you could bring her inside and crate her (large crate) and cover it so her and merlin couldn’t look at each other, play, fight, etc. or keep the crate in a room that can be closed off. kind of like how you would with a puppy that whines in the middle of the night to play, but has to learn the normal routine. i know at first it would be more noises for yall. but it would save your neighbors and hopefully not train her bad habits. just an idea though :)

You probably have already looked so I’m sorry if this is unhelpful but a lot of the vets in our area that work with livestock do boarding as well or maybe might know someone!
