the only thing with this. you make it sound like it's not possible to do ABA with PDA. and I am here to say it can be done. but it does depend on a lot of factors. my son has PDA and we have done ABA for just over 2 years. we have had techs do great with it, we have had some get eaten alive by him. his BCBA has admitted to me that she has to put in more work for him then other kiddos. the techs are communicating almost everyday with the BCBA when my son is trying to gain control back. but what they have taught us that has helped the most. give them control when you can. everything of every part of the day is met with "this OR this" we do not do anything without giving him options. even medicine. do you want a chewie, or liquid. do you want to pee standing, or sitting. do you want to bath or shower. everything is choices. because that helps take the anxiety away when he has to do something. and when, heaven forbid, there isn't choices, its alot of co regulation.

I think my son might have a PDA profile. Did you discover that on your own or did you talk to a professional about it? After our pediatrician evaluated and diagnosed him it was just he's Autistic High Functioning Level 1 and pretty much that's it. I am waiting for his referral to a OT

Look on PDA North Americas website to find a PDA trained provider in your area. It can be done but they need to be trained because some traditional ABA strategies don’t work for PDA profiles

ABA, as it is frequently practiced relies on demands and compliance to those demands. That's not a good combination for most people with PDA.
