We've had one good batman writer since rebirth. and James tynion isn't ever a top tier batman writer, he's a 7/10. tom king, chip zdarsky, matt fraction, they're all pretty shit.

overall, it feels like this run is giving my experience with unmedicated ADHD. can't get to the damn point and can't stick with anything. like sorry, taking a whole issue to launch the bat signal drones has the same energy as those "how many X does it take to screw in a light bulb?" jokes.

I feel like Fraction works best when he’s able to insert humor and gags into the dialogue and scenes. Sex Criminals and his Hawkeye run are great. His style feels slightly mismatched with Batman (and I’m enjoying his run more than most).
