Through September 6, 2026, Cole has a 161–88 career record, 3.19 ERA and 2,364 strikeouts across his time with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros and New York Yankees. 🔥 🏆 CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS: * 6× MLB All-Star * 2023 AL Cy Young Award winner * 3× All-MLB First Team * 2021 AL wins leader * 2× AL ERA leader * 2× MLB strikeout leader And some of the seasons Cole has put together have been absolutely incredible. 🔥 In 2019 with Houston, Cole went 20–5 with a 2.50 ERA, 326 strikeouts and a 0.895 WHIP. He led Major League Baseball in strikeouts and produced one of the most dominant strikeout seasons we have ever seen. 🔥 In 2021 with the Yankees, he won 16 games, recorded 243 strikeouts and finished second in AL Cy Young voting. 🔥 Then came 2022, when Cole struck out 257 hitters, breaking Ron Guidry’s Yankees single-season strikeout record. He became the first right-handed Yankees pitcher to lead all of MLB in strikeouts in a season. 🏆 And of course, 2023 was the Cy Young season! Cole finished 15–4 with a 2.63 ERA, 222 strikeouts, 209 innings and a 0.98 WHIP before winning the American League Cy Young Award unanimously! And Gerrit Cole’s story with the Yankees goes way beyond what happens on the mound. Cole grew up a Yankees fan. As a kid, he attended the 2001 World Series holding that famous sign: “YANKEE FAN TODAY, TOMORROW, FOREVER.” 💙🤍 Years later, he became the ace of the team he grew up rooting for. That is one of the coolest full-circle stories in baseball.
