I’m not an artist (prods to the art wizards) but how I decide when to use AI is this: 1. Am I already proficient in what I’m requesting? Yes. 2. Do I enjoy the process? No. 3. Am I capable of identifying deficiencies and correcting the AI output? Yes. Then maybe AI can be used, and I can reallocate that time to check more crucial items.

I freaking love watching Ai slop, it's almost "dreamy" in a way 😂 I know there's no way someone would spend tons of time and money making some of these insane creations the traditional way so I'm grateful Ai can deliver it

Spot on. Good lord. I see glimmers of the AI backlash breaking and if it does I hope this will be the narrative we end up with. More ways to express myself, more ways for my imagination to take shape, more tools to tell stories … we need to get over ourselves.

Nice speech. Trouble is we are on a bullet train to where humans aren’t even involved in so much as the idea process. Ai will generate its own stories and prompts, it will do all the post, all the quality control, the whole marketing campaign, release it on a couple thousand screens, and six studio execs will make a billion dollars off a $100,000 budget (some big actors and /or their estates will make some money for use of their likeness if their lucky) and consumers will pine for twelve sequels. Same goes for music. We’re not there quite yet but you can bet your zero-limits-capitalism-thrall butt it’s coming.
