@jothemama: Yes, I had #postpartumpsychosis after my second baby, and no I do not relate to her (👀) These thoughts are irrational, but harmless. If you’re postpartum and also thinking “oh my gosh they’re saying what happened to *her* can happen to anyone!” I’m here to assure you, no that cannot just happen to anyone. It sounds cringy but I often say (out loud) to myself “you are safe, your children are safe, you’re all actually totally fine.” if I feel extra anxious or overwhelmed. #postpartum #sahm #bigfamily #postpartumanxiety
After my 3rd my Mom came to meet him and when she gave him back to me he smelled like her perfume, not like "him" anymore and I thought I was never going to smell his newborn smell again 😅. It devastated me, like had me straight up sobbing! When we had #4 I told my Mom not to come over until she went home, showered, and put on different clothes without perfume. Not gonna lie though I still feel like that was pretty reasonable!

I had terrifying nightmares that I would forget to feed the baby. My mother lovingly and patiently assuring me that baby would not let me forget to feed him.

I now accept I likely had PPA with my son. at the time though it seemed totally reasonable to literally not sleep because I had to STARE AT HIM BREATHING the entire night or he would suddenly stop breathing. and I am 100% pro "fed is best" but I was irrationally convinced a single bottle of formula would harm him for the rest of his life.

I always feel like I’m gonna drop my baby off of the balcony..even though I would never even get close to the balcony with him because I already know that I’m aafraid that I’m going to drop him on accident but somehow I think I’m gonna walk right up to the edge and accidentally drop them over the railing ….

Anytime I’d bathe my baby (before 6mo), I’d think he’s going to accidentally drink water and poison himself lmao

New anxiety thought unlocked on number 5. Pregnant with my 6th baby and I am having anxiety just thinking about early labor and labor in general…… especially because I haven’t felt him often. He for sure is still there he won’t let the doctors find him so he’s moving I’m just not feeling him as much. My bladder is taking all the kicks

mine was if I felt the urge to check on them while they were sleeping and I dont, they definitely suffocated. also that if they chewed on literally anything, they were definetly going to choke

My parents lost me when I was just a baby. 4 bedroom 2 or 3 bathroom house I can’t remember. Me and my sister shared a room (we were both 0-4) we had a play room, a guest room and my parents room. The play room had a huge pile of stuffed animals in it. They looked in the stuffed animals a few times over the span of about two hours. Finally they find me in the stuffed animals over two hours later having just woken up from an amazing nap

I’m 15 months postpartum and 18 weeks pregnant, am still terrified the wind will pick my baby up and she’ll go off a cliff edge. To the point she’s not allowed out of the car seat unless in a carrier if we’re anywhere near a drop off

I feel this, it took me like 2 months to feel comfortable walking up and down the stairs while holding my baby I was so scared of falling. I just cant tell what is my intuition or just anxiety anymore.
