Rudy did do some messed up shit but I do love the story regardless of his past..Personally I think his past not being perfect is what makes the story better…I love Tbate and think Arthur is the goat, but besides Nico and ciecila he really didn’t have no past demons he had to fight and fix..Rudy was actually trying to be a better person in this new life..Again I’m not making excuses for him but damn at least he’s trying..

everybody calling rudeus a weirdo is right, his mind was sickened because thats just how he was, the point of the story is that he changes in unimaginable ways that shows his growth and maturity as a person and an adult. if you bring up anything in his past life or how he was then you are just genuinely wrong, yes things he did was weird but he couldn't develop in the right path because he was legitimately crucified. rudeus's growth is beyond compare to subarus his pervertedness is calmed down but not gone because thats just how he is, character trait ≠ personality, rudeus became a great person who became at war with himself and almost everyone because his family was harmed. rudeus is a man beyond men his writing is flawless.

People can hate all they want, it just shows how immature they are and their baseline intelligence. Yeah Rudy can be cringe sometimes but in terms of Isekai its the best one out.

mushoko tensei is bad because of the story following Rudeus, remove Rudeus, make it a fantasy anime, not isekai, and change the character we follow to someone like Ghislaine and it would be peak, i mean the side plots are good, visuals are great, characters are good, it's just Rudeus that makes it a bad anime.
